Water Bowls & Water Bottles

A water bowl is a natural way for your rabbit to drink. A water bottle is a not as natural way for your rabbit to drink. Some rabbits prefer one over the other. We suggest that you have a water bowl and a water bottle in your rabbits cage. You should scrub out your rabbits bowl and bottle at least once a week. Your rabbit should have fresh water at all times.

 Water Bottle & Bowl Recommendations:

Food Dish Recommendations:

Paw Print Bowl

Vege-T-Bowl

Plastic Crocks

Rabbit Food

You can choose what you want to feed your rabbit. It might be a baby or an adult so keep that in mind. Once your rabbit reaches 6 months old you will have to start transitioning them very slowly to adult rabbit food. Don’t choose rabbit feed with little pieces of color. Just because it is colorful does not mean that it is healthy for your rabbit because it is not.

Food Recommendations:

Sprout Rabbit Food- For all ages of rabbits.

Manna Pro Food- For all ages of rabbits.

Sherwood Rabbit Food- Baby Rabbit and Adult Rabbit.

Oxbow Rabbit Food- Young Rabbit and Adult Rabbit.

Kennel

You are going to want a kennel for your rabbit to bring them outside into an exercise pen, for transporting your rabbit, and bringing them to the vet for check ups and in case of an emergency.

Kennel Recommendations:

Two Door Pet Carrier

Expandable Soft Sided Carrier

Exercise Pen

It is always good to have an extra exercise pen or play pen to put your rabbit in while you are cleaning their cage. Because they will get in your way and if you choose to vacuum their cage they will be very scared of it.

Hair Buster Comb

Pet Grooming Glove

Furminator

Hay

The most important thing for your rabbit's diet is hay. Hay is 80% of your rabbit's diet. Like with rabbit food when your rabbit is 6 months old you have to start transitioning them from alfalfa hay to timothy hay. Once your rabbit is fully transitioned to timothy hay you can give them treat hay like orchard grass hay.

Hay Recommendations:

Standlee Hay

Small Pet Select Hay

Rabbit Hole Hay

Kaytee Hay

Sticks

In order to keep your rabbits teeth filed down you have to give them sticks. But don’t just go take random sticks off of a tree because some trees are poisonous. If you take a stick of a tree that is sprayed with pesticides your rabbit could get very sick. So just don’t go take sticks off a tree unless you're positive that the tree was not sprayed with pesticides and it is not poisonous. Rabbits can have apple sticks, and willow sticks.

Stick Recommendations:

Apple Sticks

Willow Sticks

Toys

Your rabbit will get bored if it does not have many toys. If they have nothing to keep them entertained they will chew on anything.

Your rabbits can have about 1-2 tablespoons of treat per day. So your rabbit can only have treats, bananas, and apples in moderation.

Treat Recommendations:

Oxbow Simple Rewards Apple & Banana

Oxbow Simple Rewards Strawberry

Kaytee Timothy Hay Cubes

Small Pet Select Healthy Snacker Bundle

Hidey House

Rabbits are prey animals so they will need a hidey house if your rabbit is very skittish. We suggest putting two entrances in the hidey house so that then it will feel like a burrow in the ground. It can even be the cardboard box that milk comes in from a store. If you flip it over it is a hidey house.

Hidey House Recommendations:

Maze Haven

Plush Hidey House (1 door)

Plush Hidey House (2 doors)

Vegetables & Greens

Some people choose to feed their rabbits greens on a daily basis. If you want to feed your rabbit greens as part of its diet, wait until your rabbit is 6 months old. You will have to slowly introduce greens to your rabbit. Kinds of greens that are good for your rabbit: romaine lettuce, basil, cilantro, bok choy, mustard greens.
